Neal Gillis, a MedCure Whole Body Donor

Neil Gillis was undoubtedly the kind of human being we all aspire to be – caring, attentive, and devoted to bettering the lives of others. Whether it was coming to the aide of his loved ones, neighbors, or simply assisting a stranger within his town, where help was needed Neil was surely there. Neil’s acts of kindness and servitude didn’t just simply apply to the members of his own community though, he had big aspirations to enrich the lives of others far beyond that. His beloved mother, Connie, notes that her son had always dreamt about the opportunity to finally become an organ donor but was deeply disheartened when he was notified that he wouldn’t be able to due to his various health conditions. That is when Neil heard about our program and was so elated that he could still make a positive impact the way he had always strived to. Outside of helping his loved ones, Neil’s favorite activities included fishing, hiking, white water rafting and golfing, so much so that he even assisted with building two beautiful courses himself! Neil was deeply cherished and will be forever missed, not only for how much he continually gave back but for his infectious laugh, playfulness, and the way he unconditionally loved those around him. Connie notes that he is now in heaven finally “happy and at peace.”
