Ivan road into the sunset short of 97 years on October 25, 2025.  He lived a full and good life.  Hunting and fishing trips before retirement.  Then at 65 he not only built a log home, but decided to try something completely unknown, raising and riding horses.  On the S2 Ranch he and his wife enjoyed horseback riding in the nearby mountains.  Ivan loved nature and took solace in his last years, sitting on the porch looking out over the pasture at the Wallowa Mountains and enjoying all the wildlife that ventured through the property.  He said, “There are two things I love most – a good horse and beautiful women.  And when I die, I hope they tan this ole’ hide of mine and make it into a ladies’ riding saddle so I can rest in peace between the two things I love most.”  So long little cowboy!
