Catherine Cornwell, a MedCure Whole Body Donor

Cathy was young at heart and never admitted her real age.  She was born in Georgia, but spent most of her adult life in Panama City, Florida.  She worked 35 plus years at Miracle Strip Amusement Park and Shipwreck Island Water Park retiring in 2014 and moving back to Georgia.  She loved tent camping and went white water rafting in her early sixties.  Her last adventures were a trip to the mountains and an eight day cruise shortly before she passed away.

Although she never had any children of her own she loved and was loved by her godson, nephews, nieces and cousins.  She said they kept her young and she loved attending functions they were involved in.  She had a kind heart and after returning to Georgia she made it a point to keep in touch with her aunts and uncles, often doing things for them.  She always made sure that flowers and flags were on the graves of relatives.

She was excited about donating her body to Emory Hospital for medical research and education that may someday help others.  The people at MedCure were kind and helpful and took care of all the details.  Cathy was loved and will be missed, but will forever remain in our hearts.
