Michael J Peters

Mike Peters lived his life using his talents in service to others. when he was diagnosed with the rare PSP disease, he continued to put others before himself by donating his body. Mike excelled in numerous areas: a skilled educator, photographer, scuba diver and alpine skier. He taught Gifted and Talented , computer and technology, math and science for the confederated tribes of the Colville reservation, and alternative high school. Mike first dove in 1964 in Puget Sound. He dove over 125 times and completed 12 of 94 diving specialties. He started alpine skiing at age 17. He was a talented ski instructor who could teach anyone, at any age, at any level. His alpine skiing adventures included helicopter skiing, skiing in Europe, and being an attendee at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Mike was married to Cheryl 54 years, the father of two daughters, and “Poppi” to 6 grandchildren.
