My Father was a hard working blue collar man. He was an amazing father and grandfather to his grandchildren. He was always a strong man, Who taught me strength, how to work hard, How to survive in this world. I was and still am a daddys girl. In June 2026, My father reached out to me that he had been coughing up blood and they found something on his lung, and something was wrong. We talked on the phone and I checked on him daily. Everything happened so fast. We got the official diagnosis of lung cancer. Then came the PET scan. Which told us the worst news possible, Stage 4 lung cancer that metastasized…. That is when everything starting to spiral. Being told 4 months without treatment, My father wanting to fight, However he wasn’t given that opportunity. He suffered breathing problems, was home and then next thing we knew, He was back in the hospital, Respiratory failure, and a stroke. I was across the country, I took the soonest flight to him. Pulmonary embolism, along with stroke and right lung covered with cancer. My father’s wish was to ALWAYS be donated to science, since I was a little kid, He told me that is what he always wanted. So, I did what I could, and I took care of my father till the end. Then I found Medcure, they helped me fulfill my father’s final wishes, to be studied and help someone and possibly help do things to help save people’s lives later on, He wanted to help new drs. researchers to be able to study his remains, to make a difference in this world and I’m just thankful he was given the chance. My father was a funny, strong and proud man, Who loved his partner very much and my sisters and their children, and my own child and his other grandchildren, He was a proud grandpa and Papa to them. He loved making people smile, He loved being on his motorcycle. He loved being outdoors and quiet places, watching wildlife. I am thankful his body was able to help others learn and I hope his cancer helps change the world for someone else who has to go through this.
