Ronnie

Ronnie was pleased to help others through his body donation

"My husband was a truck driver, father, husband and my best friend. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August of 2011. We had only one week to make arrangements for his wishes. His desire was to donate his body in hopes of helping others. I was very fortunate that a caring soul informed me of your services in time for Ronnie to make a decision. He passed a week later and I am so grateful for the care that MedCure provided. He was pleased that after he was gone he would still help others. In lieu of flowers, he …read more

Richard

Richard wished to cure disease with his body donation

"My son passed away at the age of 26. He had Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. He was the most compassionate person I've ever met, with a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. He knew he would go to be with Jesus and wanted his body to be used in hopes to find a cure for muscular dystrophy. He loved his 3 nieces and his family. He touched many people and brought so many people to God. He was and is a wonderful person. I miss him dearly. He will forever be in my heart."

After various treatments she moved to hospice care and died in March of 2011. All things medical filled her life and she was delighted to contribute her body for research through MedCure."

Adeana

Adeana truly wanted to have her body donated to medical research

"I wanted to take a few minutes and express my feelings on MedCure. My mom passed away on Aug 8th 2011 after many months of illness and a hard fight. We know now it was her time to move on to a better place. She was a loving and caring woman who lived her whole life doing for others and taking care of people. She was a friend, a momma, a foster parent, teacher, nurse, daughter, sister, wife and a witness for Gods greatness! She never asked for much but the one thing she truly wanted was to have her …read more

Thomas & Elaine

Tom and Elaine Donated Their Bodies to Science

"Thomas and Elaine, husband and wife, both donated their bodies for the support of medical science through MedCure. Thomas passed away in 2008 and Elaine in 2011. They were married at Emmanuel Church in 1958.  They owned and operated a Truck Farm for several years. In a huge greenhouse they had built, they grew vegetables and plants from seed. They sold and delivered their produce to local patrons and businesses including the local grocery store. During that time Tom also managed Tom’s Service Station. He was employed by Mid-America Nursing Center as their Maintenance Supervisor and retired from Consolidated Nutrition as a mill operator.  Elaine was a stay-at-home …read more

Justin

Justin Body Donation

"Justin was diagnosed with Leukemia at age 15. At 16, he had a bone marrow transplant which left him immune compromised. When he was 18, a double ear infection blew pressure (like happens in an airplane) pushing the infection into his brain. Within hours he suffered strokes leaving him unable to breathe, swallow or move a single muscle from the neck down on his own. His compromised immune system caused him to have one infection after another. He fought harder than any human should just to stay alive. He made it 3 ½ years. The last 6 months of his …read more

David

David's last wish was to donate his body to MedCure

"My husband, David, was a moderate man his entire life. He ate well, exercised with his dogs, tended his Japanese garden and yards and yet he encountered many health conditions and overcame them with the help of medical doctors. David wanted to contribute something to medical science, that could help others. His last wish was to donate his body to MedCure for that purpose."

Vern

"My wonderful mom and dad living life to the fullest before the calendar dictates what's next. When my dad Vern passed away in adult foster care three years ago and MedCure took care of everything. My mom is in late stage Alzheimer's in the same facility and MedCure will see to our needs again as well. Thank you so very much MedCure! You are a blessing to families during trying times."

Nancy

"On Thanksgiving day in 1990, my mom had a heart attack. A few days after, I asked her what she wants if she ever needed life support. Her own words were, "don't leave me around with any damn tubes coming out of me unless there is something the doctors can do to help me. If they can't help me, send my body someplace where I can help someone else because I won't need it anymore." When my mom was placed in a nursing home in 2001, I remembered her wishes when she was given a year to live. In 2009 I …read more
