Job Summary: The Medical Director is responsible for advising on the facilitation and evaluation of the anatomical donation process. The Medical Director would be consulted on a per-diem basis, as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Essential Tasks:
- Establish donor suitability criteria
- Evaluate donor acceptability
- Review and approve all Standard Operating Procedures of a medical nature
- Investigate, document and report, if necessary, all potential and actual adverse outcomes
- Notification to appropriate parties of confirmed positive infectious disease test results
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Must have a valid and active medical license from any state (preference is Oregon)
Experience and education in evaluating and determining donor suitability or use of an advisory committee
Accountability:
The actions and decisions of the Medical Director have a direct correlation to the company's revenue and operations. Decisions and actions have a strong impact on reputation and/or customer satisfaction. The Medical Director will make independent decisions to improve and alter standards, parameters, and processes. Works without supervision in correlation with the Chief Executive Officer.
Work Environment:
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Many hours visualizing information on a computer monitor
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Speak and write English clearly and fluently
Compensation: Per-Diem
